This course includes both mandatory and optional units. It includes Key Skills at Level 2 for both Communication and Application of Number and also includes Employment Rights and Responsibilities. To achieve their Level 3 Apprenticeship they will have to prove competence in:- Style and dress long hair, Creating a variety of looks using a combination of cutting techniques, Ensuring their own actions reduce risks to Health and Safety, Promoting additional products or services to customers, Provide colour correction services, Colour hair using a variety of techniques.

Assessment method
Assessment takes place in the Commercial Salon at college by curriculum staff and also in the workplace by a qualified assessor.

Entry Requirements
Students should have completed the Level 2 Apprenticeship. If this has not been completed, GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above is required.
